Mystery
Went to the Insight bowl yesterday to watch the Hoosiers get demolished. We got tickets in the club level for a pretty decent price, not knowing that those tickets got us all you can eat free cokes, hot dogs, nachos, and cookies! So that was probably the highlight of my day.
Having dinner with Chicago Nick and Jonah last night, we realized that it was pretty similar to last new years eve. Jonah and i discussing what we are going to change in 2008, and Chicago Nick laughing at us knowing most likely we won’t. Our resolutions sounded pretty similar to last year i guess.
Another highlight of last night was that as we were sitting down eating dinner at this Irish Pub in Tempe, a reality show star appeared at the bar. For anybody reading this who has seen the show “the Pickup Artist”, it was Mystery’s little blonde headed, British sidekick J-Dog. He appeared to have a gang of interesting fellas with him as well, most of whom just stood there without talking to anybody. In the hour we saw him there, J-dog appeared to only talk to dudes, and this one girl who had her husband or boyfriend with her. I would say that his “peacock” was his stylish sport coat he was wearing. The guy he was talking to most had a tilted top hat on…looking like a little nerdy white pimp. Needless to say, in studying them for that short time, i didn’t learn anything about picking up a girl. Unfortunately none of the cameraphone pictures we tried to take turned out.
Anyway, even though i did have a good time with my buddies last night, once again i realized how overrated new years eve is. Everywhere you go is just a bunch of guys looking to pick-up a random girl. The ratio at the block party last night must of been 70% dudes…and everywhere you went had an absurd cover charge to get in….just to hang out with more dudes. It’s probably a much more fun night when you actually have a girlfriend to hang out with….but that is just a guess.
Happy Birthday Beans.

New Years is dead to me. Next year i’m driving to Yuma, and crossing the border into cali at 11:58pm. 91 seconds later i’m driving home and going to bed.

new years blows.
i’d rather people do a count-down on the night before my birthday, so that, we could ring in my own personal new year instead.

I was born on new years so everyone is actually counting down my personal new year. Uh, Is that a little self centered? Maybe. =)
