Just let me finish!
Shot some hoops for the first time in quite a while today at the Y. Just had to make sure i still remembered how to do that, but not really much desire to actually play a game.
Every time i go through the Schlotzky’s drive through, they always interrupt me when i order. I typically start out by telling them that i want the #1. So when you order the #1, you have choices of bread type, chip type, and drink of course. I know i have these choices, so i am always prepared to quickly tell them without pause that i want the #1 with sourdough bread, bbq chips, and dr. pepper to drink. But every single time i try and just rattle this off, they always interrupt me to ask me these things, while i am already spewing them out. This really bothers me. Normally at a place like mcdonalds, they will wait until you finish talking before they talk which is nice. But at this particular Schlotzky’s, i can’t get past saying “i want the #1″ without being cut off. This really really annoys me, but i guess not enough for me to stop going there. Maybe i should just start going inside instead of the drive through.
Jonah, Nick, and myself decided to take a little road trip yesterday up to Sedona. So we drove up there where the temperature was much cooler than here in Scottsdale. And you throw the wind in there, at certain spots it was probably in the low 40’s. But it was nice i thought, especially since we were actively hiking and climbing most of the day. Jonah and i wanted to find something we hadn’t done there since we usually end of hiking around the same spots. So we ended up driving up this road called Schnebly road, which is probably the worst road in the country. It’s driving up the hill on a dirt road held together by large rocks and boulders…only suitable for suv’s basically. It was a 5 mile drive to the vista, which took us over 30 minutes. But in my estimation, it was well worth it, as we found some pretty cool view points, as well as places that would be good to hike for next time we go. So, here are some pictures from Sedona.
This is Jonah falling in the creek that was probably about 35 degrees. He was trying to be adventerous and cross the creek, but didn’t quite work out how he had hoped.
Above is Jonah standing someplace that you couldn’t pay me to stand. And it was really windy too. Notice the first picture he has pants on, then the next picture he has shorts on…trust me that wasn’t because he was warm! Might be my favorite picture i have taken though.
Above is Nick and I at the top of Schnebly Hill. Pretty cool view, and some good hiking below.
Above, finally got the FJ a little dirty. I think Nick stayed in the car during this short hike. He was a bit cold.
The temperature here is definitely cooling down, so much so that i have been wearing a sweatshirt to sleep in now. It’s rather comfortable, and helps it feel a little bit more like winter time. Although it’s still like 80 and sunny every day, the nights cool down…and the 60 degree nights are almost 60 degrees cooler than the summer days! It was nice being in the cool weather in Sedona yesterday, wearing warm clothes.
